Funding for a computer for college | Personal Loan

Im trying to figure out how to go about getting funds to purchase a computer for college. I want to get a Mac since I am a multimedia student. There are a few factors standing in my way 1. I do not have a job currently. I would need some type of deferred loan to get it. There is no flippin way I am using Apples customer from what I understand I have to get a visa credit card to do that S 3. Im going to ask my school anyway but I do not believe they will do that one time loan for a computer thing for me since all my federal loans will be exhausted by spring but if someone has some info on that Id appreciate it.

Does anyone know of anyway around this Ive looked into personal loans but all I have found requires repayment almost immediately which I want something that I can start paying after college 3 years from now BUT if I find a job between now and then I can start repayment without penalty. Any and all info will be greatly appreciated and yes I do plan on talking to my schools student finance dept about this this week since my classes right now are online and well this computer is not too healthy Plus like I said Im a MMD student so really I feel like I need to get that Mac no matter the I appreciate people answering but please read the damn question thoroughly if youre going to.

Sounds like you have the best idea out of anyone what you need to do to go about this. Like you said you need to get in contact with your school and see if they can help you. The only thing I could think of is getting a personal loan however they usually dont have cosigners for those and repayment almost always starts soon after youve taken out the loan. Try to get in contact with your local credit unions and ask about loans specifically for school supplies. They might let you take out a smaller amount for a student loan right now just for that then let you take out more later for your tuition and etc when you need it for that.

Also if he or she is taking their classes online then the computer needs to be one that can at least come close to matching the the one they would use in a traditional classroom for teaching those courses. ECOT is considered a public school system its just online. You can go to college with ECOT you can take college courses while youre still in highschool. You get a regular high school diploma once you graduate they actually have graduations proms. The regular ECOT computers are quite slow though. I would rather use my home computer but its up to you. You also get a 18 check every month for your internet unless you use time warner internet then ECOT pays time warner.
